Sacred Steel Player Gone Home

Post by Del Ray Grace »

Sincere Condolences go out to the Flenory family.
We were just informed that another Sacred Steel brother has passed on to be with the Lord on today. Please pray for the family of Charles Flenory of Detroit, Michigan.
Charles Flenory, Owner of Gospel Sound studio, shows the Billboard platinum award he received for the design and construction of the Platinum Sound Studios facilities in Atlanta, Georgia 15 years ago
Charles was a very influential pioneer of the Keith Dominion Sacred Steel movement in the early years. He was also a 1977 graduate of the Recording Institute Of Detroit Recording Engineering Program.
Charles Flenory was inducted into the 2014 Sacred Steel Hall of Fame for his many years of dedicated service as a church musician and will truly be missed by many. RIP

God bless the family and friends of the Flenory family. I am so drawn to the history and the beautiful sounds of the Sacred Steelers. Mr. Flenory certainly made his mark on its history.
