Memorial for Doug Seymour June 10

Post by Richard Seymour »

Hi All,

Quick note, a memorial service for my dad Doug "Slim" Seymour will be held at the Open Meadows United Methodist Church on Saturday., June 10th at 1:00 pm. 3183 Open Meadows Road Ashville, NY 14710

I'll probably bring a guitar for the heck of it, but if any folks want to bring instruments we might take them out afterwards.

Sorry for the short notice.

All the best,
Rich

Thanks Rich. I will try my best to be there. It was "Uncle Doug" who got me into playing steel guitar. It was Doug who got me to first visit and meet "Cousin" Bobbe, and it was Doug who got me to go to my first Steel Guitar convention in St. Louis. I don't want to miss his memorial.

Rich the memorial for your father was really nice. A very nice turnout for a life well lived. For anybody who knew Doug they would have appreciated all the nice things and stories of his life. Your family did a beautiful job and it is something I will remember for quite some time. I want to thank you and your family for this. Please convey my thanks to them.
