Leon Roberts.... RIP

I wanted to give a shout out to all my steel guitars friends. A huge part of the steel guitar community in San Diego years past was a friend named Leon Roberts. He was the go to guy that knew all the players and where they where playing. Leon was the guy when you had mechanical issues or problems with your guitar, he could get you all straightened out. We use to joke when something wasn't working right, we would say "Where's Leon!" He was out and visited us up at Jim's steel guitar shop a couple of months ago. It was so great seeing him after all these years. I got a call from his wife Arlene today saying that Leon had passed a few days ago... He was a really sweet guy and a huge part of this odd community.. RIP Leon

Great photo, Kevin. Leon was passionate about steel guitar, a perfectionist when it came to working on them or giving great advice, and a real gentleman. Rest in peace my friend.
