How does one turn off

Post by steve takacs »

HELP!!!! The AUTO-CORRECT typing function has taken over my computer. It's like HAL the computer from the film "2001 a Space Odyssey".

How do I turn it off.? I can live with a few of my own typing errors but the AUTO-CORRECT actually generates more work than it is worth, at least for me.
Thanks, stevet

Depends on whether it is OS related, or specific for a piece of software.

For win10 the settings are easy to change...

:D

As for all such issues, the internet is overflowing with "How To" descriptions.

For OSX, see the following...

Thanks Georg. I did search the internet prior to posting this question on The Forum and had no luck. Thanks for the information which I will definitely use to silence the AUTO-CORRECT Function. Stevet
