Hollis Pritchett

Post by Fred Martin »

While in Flagstaff last week I saw that Hollis had passed. Hollis was a fireman in El Paso and a good friend of Ray Jenkins. He was one of the first folks I met when the Southwest Steel Guitar Assoc. formed. He was quite a great guy and lived in Flagstaff before moving on to Saint George Utah. Spent some time jamming in his garage with Hollis, Ray Jenkins and Fred Justice on a great Flagstaff summer day some time back.

Thank you Fred for posting this. God rest his soul.
Hollis was a good man, a kind man as well, always a smile on his face.
I can just see him playing that old Emmons in Ray's carport jam.
Rest in peace Hollis.

Sad to hear of this.
I first met Hollis at the very beginning of the SWSGA.
He always had a smile & would take time to always say Hello to me.
He will be missed.
RIP Hollis.

"Tone is in the hands. Unless your wife will let you buy a new amp. Then it's definitely in that amp."

We need to turn the TWANG up a little

It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.

They say that tone is all in the fingers...I say it is all in your head :)

Some of the best pieces of life are the little pieces all added up..Ron

the value of friendship. Old friends shine like diamonds, you can always call them and - most important - you can't buy them.
