Joe Prine has passed

Long time Pacific NW area guitarist Joe Prine passed away this morning after a massive heart attack yesterday. He spent most of his music life in Springfield Oregon playing clubs and lodges. He was well regarded as an accomplished guitarist as well as a lead vocalist possessing the knowledge of countless songs. Before moving to Springfield, he performed in the Portland area in the hay day of Jimmy Patton & Gene Breeden picking with Bob Blum, Kurt Nichols, Gene Brown and many others.
