Wife of luthier Michael Stevens, Alice was a true lady, a wonderful photographer, master gardner, and a real presence wherever she appeared. My heart goes out to Michael at this time... the world has lost a wonderful woman.

Alice had been ill for some time. Condolences to my old pal Michael.
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

Yes, the same. Michael is also well-known for other things... starting the Fender Custom Shop... member of the Austin Lounge Lizards, he co-wrote the song "El Saguaro", a cautionary tale based on the true story of a man that was killed by a saguaro cactus he shot with a gun.

Alice died of complications from ALS, she had been ill for some time as Herb related. Very much not in the shadow of Michael, she was a commanding presence, full of empathy and love... she is sorely missed.
