Today, I'll take a moment of silence to honor the birthday of my departed friend, Buddy Emmons.
Born January 27,1937, he would've been 79. He left this world on July 21, 2015.
He was simply the greatest!
I miss you every single day, Maestro...</center>

Today I pause to honor my all time favorite steel player, Buddy Emmons. What a legacy he left behind. Most of us will never get close to the level he played. RIP Buddy Emmons, we all miss you greatly.

He was the most instinctively gifted musician I've ever heard.
RIP Buddy Emmons.

May his memory continue in our thoughts when we hear or play on the steel.

Probably the biggest inspiration to aspiring steelers and veterans alike. His tracks are what I attempt to emulate daily. Many moments of silence taken here.
Rest in Peace
