I have BIAB 2015 with real tracks. This has really livened up this system no end. This is a recording I did of Blue Steel Blues - at a time when I was still trying to find a good tone on my National D8 and finding my way round E13 tuning. The guitar and piano solos were created by BIAB. I let them play all the way through when I dawed to Cubase and then cut and pasted the best sections that came up through the song to create each solo.

I just got 2016. Its got a lot of new real tracks and the style search engine is enhanced. You can type the name of a familiar song and BIAB will start showing you styles that are appropriate for tnat song. I played with it a little and its very encouraging. I think it has 6000 songs in the database.

Hi Papa Joe. Thanks for your comments.
The style I used was WNSWING.STY Western swing quintet at 180 bpm.
I then replaced one of the guitars with 1710.guitar.electric.soloist.brentSW165.
The piano i put in the soloist spot. This was -
piano.1866.acoustic.soloist.western swing.johnSW65.
As mentioned in my previous message I let each solo play all the way through and then picked the best bits once I had transferred it to Cubase. These solos are OK but as they are made up of a number of phrases put together by the system some are better than others - and some are next to useless.
Having said that though I quite often use BIAB as a learning tool. I listen to a solo and think that phrase is nice. I then play and link it with another phrase to make up a solo which I will then record on cubase with guitar. Same with pedal steel.
