Joe Singer dies, father of Les Singer of Bill Anderson's Ban

Joby Singer of Pontiac Illinois died Tuesday after a short illness. Joby 78, was a talented 5 string banjo player and with his wife Marge who passed away last year entertained people for years. Their son Lester Earl Singer plays guitar and banjo for Bill Anderson on the opry and can be seen at the right side of the staff band on the "Country Family Reunion Shows" on RFD TV. Every year in June Joby would host Joby Jam which drew some of the finest country pickers and singers from all over central Illinois and beyond.
