Adobe releases a new patched Flash Player for August, 2015

Post by Wiz Feinberg »

Adobe just released another patched Flash Player, securing it from a slew of exploitable vulnerabilities. The new version, as of today, is 18.0.0.232. Anything older is vulnerable to silent and complete system takeover if you visit an exploited website.

Upgrade Flash NOW! Also, update Adobe Air. All updates are found on www.adobe.com

Over the last few months I've spent more time updating Flash than using it, so this time I just uninstalled it. Bye bye and good riddance Flash...

This is my 3rd straight week with Flash disabled in Firefox, my primary browser. There are some videos and slide shows that don't appear, so I read the text on the page, if there is any.

I am still amazed at the number of pages I land on that show zero viewable content with Flash disabled or not present. Those websites will soon be relegated to the bitbucket by all the major search engines.

This last flash download poped up and I installed it and finally Yahoo mail downloads quickly.
So let me be the first to tell you I told you so.
They've fed us BS and taken advantage of us for a long long time now with a sneaky open back door for their use and given us nothing but BS fixes.
Finally they caught enough flack and decided that they might need to back off being malware like for a while.
