Billy Block, drummer and promoter

Post by Joachim Kettner »

I hadn't heard of him before.
I've just read an obit for him. He played in the Palomimo house band in the the eighties and had his own show in Nashville later, so some of you may know him?
He died in March this year, aged fifty- nine.
Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube.

Very good friend of mine for 30+ years. He was everything everyone is saying about him. Super musician and purveyor of good in everything he touched. He helped many people and accomplished a lot in the americana music scene in Los Angeles and Nashville.

Skip! In Respect I've been waiting to see who else knew " Billy Block " on here but us three from California. May he RIP. He was a hard worker at getting things done for others. He was like Johnny Dollar, Tex Clark, Johnny Russell,Billy Joe Barnett,Jimmy Case,Art Small and many others in our Indie Music Business Industry and over looked like it always happens. God Bless us all. Uncle Leo J Eiffert Jr & his " Garden Tour " Band. :(
