I just had to find a picture of her as her name sounded familiar. I got to meet her at one of the clubs on Broadway about 2 years ago. I approached and talked to her because there was an open steel guitar case on the stage. Turned out it was Rusty Roads. She was very friendly and open to talk. And, what an incredible singer! I even got to share the stage and play a couple of songs with her that day. Such a loss. My prayers go out to her family and friends. Rest in peace, Shelly.

I didn't know Shelly well, but I sure knew her talent. Last time I saw Shelly, was at the Missouri State Fair several years ago. She and I visited for a short time. What a great singer she was. She should have been a star, and she is to the people who knew her.

What I heard was Shelley found out she had cancer about two weeks ago and is already dead. She wasn't very old. Don't know any other details.

She was a great singer who performed a lot of traditional country.

wow, what a shocking news, I knew Shelly, and played few times for her down town on Broadway, I think it was at Legends Corner, but that has to be almost 15 years ago... RIP Shelly
