RIP Buddy DeFranco

Post by Andy Volk »

RIP Buddy Defranco. Nobody soared on jazz clarinet like Buddy. It was his misfortune to come on the scene just when the clarinet was being seen as passe' but boy, could he play!

He sure could play! I have a record he did with Art Blakey done in the '60s called Blues Bag that I really like a lot.
