Marilynn Kay Cousins-Dunn

Marilynn Kay Dunn, 75, passed away December 1, 2014 at Bishop Drumm Care Center. Memorial services will be held at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines at 12 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 with visitation the night before from 6 to 8 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date

Marilynn was born on April 15, 1939 to Bessie (Betts) and Bert Cousins. She worked as an Office Manager for Communication Data Services and enjoyed spending time with her friends.

She is survived by her sisters, Shirley (Hilster) Clark, Betty Stark, and Joyce (Bill) Burkhead; nephews, Wendell and Charles Stark; half-sister, Phyllis, numerous nieces, nephews and especially friends.

Marilynn was preceded by her parents, brothers, Don, Clane, Raymond, Dick, Kenny, and Cleve along with half-sisters, Beverly, Lavena, and Joy.

Marilynn enjoyed playing in country music bands and was elected a member of the Iowa Country Music Hall of Fame.

Thanks for letting us know Ray, spent many, many nights on stage with Marilyn and her Brother Kenny all over southern Iowa, along with Jack Selover, Kenny Douglas, and Shorty Falwell (sp?) She was a great entertainer and friend .
