Trouble Shooting my Delta 66

Since installing this card in a 64 bit Windows 7 machine ot works as a sound card but the M Audio control panel is unresponsive. The signal does not make it to the recording software either. So far I have um-installed the on-board sound card. That didn't help. This item has been discontinued but there are drives for Windows 7.

Any ideas as to a way to get the control panel to light up?

This Delta 66 unit has been perfect for my needs and I hate to give up on it. I haven't seen anything like it in the same price range either.

What device do you have set as the default sound device?

I disbled the onboard sound card and set the delta 66 as default.

I remember years ago when I did this, I had to set some pins on the motherboard. That was years ago.

The delta 66 gets sound in and out but the signal doesn't doesn't show up on recording software.

I have a feeling there are some pins on the motherboard that need to be set.

Maybe so, but in many years of doing this stuff, I don't recall ever having to change anything on the mobo after installing an audio card.

About the only other thing I'd suggest would be to check your Windows Control Panel "Recording" tab to make sure the Delta 66 is there and selected.
