I wanna go back to my little grass shack........

Yes

I have mine split out on 16gb thumb drives. I can use them on my tablet also with androids "Double Twist" app. Or any device that will accept usb.

My biggest gripe about my iPad is that it doesn't have more storage and doesn't have the means to use media like SD cards or thumb drives.

I tried to copy my music and video libraries to my phone, which has a 64gb micro SD card installed. I have about 13gb of files. Unfortunately, half way through the song transfers, the windows explorer started giving errors about transferring the files. After a dozen or so times having to tell explorer to skip that file, it stopped responding. Then I started getting the error that I had to reformat the card. Lost everything, like photos taken with the camera. Fortunately nothing important. A couple of thinks I had uploaded to Dropbox. I wish I had more storage with Dropbox (without having to pay an arm and a leg for it). I would just upload the files to there and I could access them with my phone, but it wouldn't work with the iPad unless I was in a place where I could get WiFi access. I do have an Mp3 player (Zune) that has a capacity of 120gb. But that just means one more tech gadget I have to carry.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Playing for 55 years and still counting.

Richard,

You might try a smaller sd card, 16 or 32. Also ensure that you get the high speed ones. I'll bet you'd have better results.
