This B/W video must be from the late 1950s. Shot Jackson played PSG with Roy Acuff in this time period, but this steel player does not look like Shot Jackson. :?:

Love that clip! Thanks for posting the link.

I would say, it is Shot Jackson. The other musicians are also Smoky Mountain Boys, Brother Oswald playing guitar, Howdy Forrester on Fiddle and Jimmy Riddle on Piano. Are the two guys on the left side the Wilburn Brothers?

PS.: Watch how Roy is grabbing the one female singer's arm to pull her aside so the stell player can be seen during his solo! :D

Kind Regards, Walter

Then she picks her nose and spends the next 3 minutes looking around the room for the exit door. She is so cool!

The 'female-in-the-way' is June Webb, only female
to have been one of the 'Smoky Mountain Boys'.

Later she recorded 'as herself' ~> click and click.

She married bassist Buddy Kileen,
who accompanies her ~> here.

Another recording done with minimal studio setups! Shot is mixing dobro riffs with PSG riffs.
