I'm sorry to announce the passing of steel player Gene Barnes. Gene was one of our top regional steel players who worked professionally during the 1960's-70's era. Gene was first introduced to me while he traveled with the Helen Cornelious Show. A quiet man, and extremely talented, Gene will be missed by many friends in the music community. Funeral arrangements are pending.

So Sorry to hear this news. I've known Gene for years, but haven't seen or heard from him in Years. He was a great steel player and fine person. Thoughts for all of his family. Larry and Jean
