Bobbe Seymour Playing My 1935 Supro Electric Hawaiian

Post by C. E. Jackson »

I visited Bobbe at his store on 7/22/03. He was playing an informal session with his Uncle Doug Seymour and Jim "Shorty" Luce, while LaVern "Cousin Vern" Skarzenski enjoyed the music.

Bobbe always liked to look at and play any vintage steel I brought by. This time one of the steels I was traveling with was a 1935 Supro Electic Hawaiian. He had a great time playing and looking at that old steel, as the video shows.

Bobbe was a great steel player and was inducted into THE STEEL GUITAR HALL OF FAME IN 2011.

He will be missed by all of us!!!!

I hope you enjoy the video.

I know I'm enjoying them. I think they turned out real nice. Seems they cleaned up a bit compared to the original tape. Thanks.

Glad you are enjoying them, LaVern. Yes, the conversion for YouTube seems to have cleared up some of the static on the 11 year old tape.

Thanks,
