Bobbe Seymour Playing My 1937 Rickenbacher (7/22/03)

Post by C. E. Jackson »

I visited Bobbe at his store on 7/22/03. He was playing an informal session with his Uncle Doug Seymour and Jim "Shorty" Luce, while LaVern "Cousin Vern" Skarzenski enjoyed the music.

Bobbe always liked to look at and play any vintage steel I brought by. This time one of the steels I was traveling with was a 1937 Rickenbacher (chrome plates). He had a great time playing several songs on that steel, as the video shows.

Bobbe was a great steel player and was inducted into THE STEEL GUITAR HALL OF FAME IN 2011.

(note: there is no sound for the first 20 second slide which was added to the video, but sound after that)

He will be missed by all of us!!!!

I hope you enjoy the video.

Dennis,

There is no sound for the first slide, which was added to the video, but sound after the first 20 seconds. See if this works on your computer.
