That is awesome we're going to start Lily Dale on the next broadcast. I can't express to anybody who may be reading this and is curious about the weekly Steel-Ins how much I've learned and improved as a player over the last few months since I started tuning in. I was doing alright, but not realizing that sound I felt I could get. I felt I was getting close, but was a little stalled. Then I heard about this deal, took a shot, and I started taking off. It's a hard instrument, no doubt about it, but anything that makes you want to practice more and be able to apply what you learn.... well, that's the deal.

All I know is that when I put the bar to the strings, the dogs don't leave the room anymore and my wife hasn't thrown me or the steel out of the house! Nothing beats learning week after week from a pro. I couldn't ask for a more dedicated or knowledgeable instructor, and its a good time to boot.

Much appreciated, William!

I thought I add my few cents to say that for any of you out there that wants to learn to play the PSG Williams Saturday Morning Broadcast is the place to be.

If you have ever wondered how to get that chord you have heard on a song, or how did they get that sound sign up for Wills lessons you won't be disappointed.

He will try to do all your requests, he will also send out the tab and will also send the track for the song if you ask. This will be the best $ 5.00 you ever spent if you are sincere in wanting to learn. Check his site and broadcast out. On top of that He is a heck of a nice guy.

:D :)

I've been a member almost since William started these lessons. You get a lot for your $5.00 a week. He usually has a intro, some exercises and a project tune we work on. Besides he has helped me out personally when I had a problem with a song. Give it a try !

William's Saturday class

Post by George Buechley »

I agree with everyone else that this is the best learning experience money can buy. I was floundering around trying to figure out which book or tab to try next. I've played Dobro for thirty years but I always wanted to play psg. I really needed a teacher to help me out. Then last September I started William's class. The class gives you momentum to push yourself during the week. I find I'm more organized in my practice now. Each week I try to push the speed button a little more. It's a process that takes discipline and I get to see how William does it. I see how he holds his hands and his fingering on picking. I also get song tabs and renders to play along with (what a deal!). This is what a teacher can do for someone wanting to learn. You couldn't ask for a better teacher and he's a lot fun.

I'm really looking forward to learning 'Lily Dale', too!

Yep, I have to agree with all that's been said about William's lessons so far. Best five bucks you will ever spend! If you pay attention, William will also teach you " how " to learn and "how" to listen and figure out a lot of this on your own! That's what teaching is all about! Not just monkey see, monkey do but, how to do it for yourself. Plus he has been always willing to take a phone call or e mail to help me iron out something that I just needed a little extra help with. Thanks, William!!

All I can say is that William has been the best influence on me and my steel experience since I met him.. He is a good teacher and answers any questions I have and is very patient with me as I try to learn more about the wonderful art of the pedal steel. Thank you William..

Mark, I take it you're the MSA player William was poking at? One of these days I'm going to get a Mullen, and see how he likes that.
