Watch Buddy Emmons' left hand near the end of this video. He actually twirls his bar, an amazing feat. I have never seen a player twirl a bar before.

I saw Buddy Emmons years ago on a television show. The band was the Sound Factory and Jimmy Dean was singing. He said here is Buddy Emmons and he began to play and twirled the bar around just as he does on this video. I nearly fell out of my chair. The link you provided is from a DVD Scotty has put out. It is a must for every steel player.
