I'd call it advanced. No tab.Very usable and easy to play licks. But not cheap licks.Or cheesy licks as some call them.He talks you right through it.I don't have a TV in my music room so I transferred mine to cassette. Some nice slow things,He covers doing chimes.Adding to some old standard licks. And some cool fast riffs and exercises too. Most any player can learn something from this video. For the most part too advanced for a beginner.Just my opinion. CAN'T WAIT FOR HIS NEW CD!----------bb

Bud I only know of the one teaching video.Hot Licks Cool Tips. But Tommy has a new CD that he plans to sell at St Louis unless he's had a change of plans.I wish he'd sell me one today via the US Post office.
BTW there is also the Tommy and Lloyd E9 video. It's not a teaching video per say but you can learn tons from it. -bb
[This message was edited by Bobby Boggs on 26 August 2002 at 05:53 AM.]

I would call it advanced. I agree that there is some very useful stuff in there and that any level player can learn from it. There is no tab and Tommy goes through the stuff at a fast clip. I had to pick certain "licks" and tab them myself to work on them. It's worth the price just to watch him play at the begining and end,.....amazing.

Bob, Bobby and Bud,
The only video other than "Hot Licks",
would be the one he did with Lloyd Green "An Evening Of E9th" which is still available.
We also have Tommy's new CD and both classy and contemporary t-shirts now available on our web site. These items will also be available at our booth in St.Louis.
Thanks,

As Brad wrote Tommy does move thru this pretty fast. That's another reason I transferred it to cassette tape.I hate rewinding a video.Aside from the enjoyment of watching Tommy play.I see no reason for the video part.Wish he would do an advanced Hot Lick C6th course.I did mention I'm lazy.

I still haven't learned the C6th part of the outro.I gave myself a little break and never got back To it.
Maybe this winter I'll get back to it.I get lazy and distracted in the summer time. --bb
