"Carolina in My Mind" on Pedal Steel

Post by Chuck S. Lettes »

I recently heard Alison Krauss’ version of James Taylor’s “Carolina in My Mind,” and it brought back some good memories of old college days. I worked my arrangement up on my Mullen pedal steel. It’s always amazes me how easy it is to recall some melodies of old favorites.

Chuck, that was fantastic. I sat back in my chair, listened, and felt the nice cool breeze blowing through my window. I felt like I was back in the mountains of Virginia, I'm a Virginia boy originally.
Thanks for the moment...

Chuck, thank you for that song! It has always remained one of my James Taylor favorites and your arrangement and playing sounded great. It certainly brought back some wonderful memories :D .

Thanks, guys. Glad you like the arrangement. As Yogi Berra supposed said, "Nostalgia ain't what it used to be." I still love playing those tunes that bring back good memories.
