improperly drilled endplate

I have a shobud pro II which the left endplate (non changer side) is drilled out of square, in other words the left front leg sticks out of square about 6 inches with the pedal board and the right side of the guitar.
is there a way to fix the socket or should i just get a new endplate.

It's real easy to tell if it's the leg! (A bent leg will "wobble" as it's screwed in.)

I once owned a steel that the threads in the end plate had been stripped or damaged in some way..Someone had done some welding in the leg hole and attempted to redrill and tap it out..The leg hole is supposed to be drilled at an angle I think its around 15 to 18 degrees..

Mine was redrilled at the wrong angle which caused the problem like yours..

unfortunately its not the leg.How do I go about fixing this socket or redrilling it.Anybody know what this would cost?

Contact Ed naylor ,He would probably trade you a good one for yours for a small fee and repair your old one and use it on another one. .He has more show bud parts than any one in the parts buisness,and has helped a many a steel player out.

If you want to try to fix it yourself or have a machine shop do it, you would need an aluminum plug tapped to 1/2-13, screw it into the socket, aluminum weld it into place, and redrill and tap to the correct angle.
