"Live" Emmons Rehearsal for ISGC 1997
For all you Buddy Emmons fans (and who isn't), here is a 54 minute video of Buddy's rehearsal for the 1997 ISGC.
This is so neat, seeing the master in action, in a candid atmosphere.
Enjoy and let me know if you like this!

Bill, You have just made my day so much better. On a day when I have not felt good physicially this video has lifted me up. I have always been a huge Buddy Emmons fan and have seen him play several times at steel shows. I have always walked away knowing I saw something evry special and felt so blessed to see him play. I want to add the band was excellent but David Smith on bass guitar is such a huge asset to any band. As many know David played bass guitar with Buddy Emmons for many years and that speaks highly of David and the quality musician he is. Thanks Bill for posting this video.

Just crazy how great E is with seemingly very lttle effort. With him, the steel is an appendage. Buddy's memory of melody and exquisite interpretation of so many songs is astonishing and would be on any instrument. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen or heard, and I've seen and heard a lot.
Thanks for posting the vid Mr. Bill.
Big E, thank you for sending me back to the study room once again. Well, you've been teaching me for over 40 years. Still are. I'll never give up! Haha

Jack if my counter is right I believe that the song Buddy is playing is "Drownin My Troubles". It's off the "Going Out Swingin" CD.
