RIP Little Colonel
Shirley Temple Black passed away today, and though she didn't play steel guitar she was one fine addition to the entertainment industry. With her talent probably if someone would have shown her a steel guitar back then she probably would have been able to play it. Her stairs dancing scene with Bill "Bojangles" Robinson is a classic. RIP Little Colonel.

If front page stories in the NY Times, the BBC, the LA Times, Chicago Tribune, etc. are "barely a mention" then I'd like to know what you consider "mainstream media". Her passing was covered extensively worldwide.Niels Andrews wrote:There was barely a mention of her passing in the so called mainstream media.
She didn't get much mention here, but that's because she wasn't associated with steel guitar at all.
