i love clinton...but...what happened between the earlier cleancut fiddle playing hat wearing sensitive singing version and this hard weathered hair dyed drinking drugging guitar holding version with the ugly waylon beard. appearance wise is why i say this...i have no clue what he does or doesn't do, but he sure is looking worse for wear. looks like more than normal ageing. anyone know the man's story?

Clinton's record deal was 25 YEARS AGO...we played together every weekend back then...not one hair on my head was white...now they all are...time takes its toll and sometime we don't realize how much of it has passed.

Clinton still sings and plays his ass off...he fared a lot better on this clip than I did...

i watched a few more. maybe he doesn't look quite as bad as i thought....it was mainly the dyed hair!!
it all sounds good...and he can pick that guitar.

i forget how old i've gotten, too.

Steve you are and always have been one of favorite steel guitar players.Love the sound of that Emmons.Clinton I think had a cut on a song "House of Diamonds" that I really liked.

Steve, just from listening I dectected some 3 and 4 string licks utilising the B and C pedals. Does this require more volume from the pedal to make them heard better?

Seriously,Joachim,I probably gave it a little more gas to make a lick like that"speak"
better,but not consciously...I'm just like everybody else,still trying to figure it out!

Thanks for the reply, Steve. I like your expression of "Giving It More Gas". I do it also, pushing the pedal a little deeper down, when I play 3 and 4 in fact I think everybody does this. Any other opinions?
