this man helped save traditional country. made sure band members got paid first. read his book! some of you might be in it.
RIP SMOKEY SMITH . maurie goode sadly advised me today, 2/3/2014, that our friend 'Smokey Donald Smith' has gone on tour to the Heavens. Artist and promoter extraordinaire, about anyone related to the country music business knew and respected him. Thousands of folks and fans have enjoyed his bus tours. Thanks Ken for letting us know. He was one of the best at promoting and preforming in The state of Iowa.I'm sure there are many who he helped get started in Country Music that will miss him. RIP Smokey.
