E9th or C6th? "Catfish Ed"

Post by Susan Alcorn (deceased) »

Last year I recorded on a song by an old friend, Joe Shelton. I sent him two versions - one with my C6/9 tuning and another with the E9th. Which would have chosen (assuming "none of the above" is not an option)? Which do you think Joe picked?

These are the rough mixes I sent him:

I hope you enjoy the music.

:D Cool. I pick the C6 .. & I don't play C6 or generally like it as much as E9 stuff. But I'm betting on the C6; a really bluesy natural. ...Let us know which Joe chose. 8)

They're both really nice, but I think I'd pick the C6th...I don't think the E9th would be the wrong pick because it was really nice too, but the C6th to me fit the song...shoot, so did the E9th...Which did Joe choose?
