C6th lesson for the song "All of Me"

Post by Dale Rivard »

It was pretty cold up here in Canada today so I stayed inside with my youngest son and we recorded this tune.:) This is a fairly basic version that I played around with a few years ago. After I did my last (first) video, some of you expressed interest concerning lessons. I just want to let it be known, that this year as my gig schedule allows, I am going to be doing more teaching. Please feel free to send me an email or PM here on the forum and we can discuss the details. Thanks for watching and listening. Dale

Dale,
Great stuff. I played a wedding last week and was called on to do this and Pennies From Heaven and found I wasn't as sharp on either one as I thought I was..
Time to bone up!

Gentlemen, thanks so much for the nice comments. And Dale and Tommy, when I have time, I will definitely do more of these. I think if we all share, we all can learn something and it helps keep players motivated. And motivated steel players will promote this instrument and help keep it alive. Thanks again and keep pickin'!

Thanks so much for posting this. I have been able to work out how to play this on non pedal C6, and it was this was made easy because you carefully explained each pedal 'move', and which notes were altered by the pedals. Thanks so much!

I have no lever for that 4th string half step raise, so I try to do this with the 4th foot pedal half pedaling to B-flat. This is the first time I approach a Jazz standard.
Thank you very much, Dale
