Dave Decker's wife gone home

Post by Rick Troyer »

Dear friends,
Dave Decker, fellow steel player, friend and supporter of the steel guitar community has lost his wife Lenora today.
Lenora suffered cardiac arrest Sunday the 15th. She was playing with her Grandson, (keeping and entertaining the grands was her greatest joy) when she passed out. 4 year old Silas went to Grandpa Dave when he couldn't wake her. Paramedics couldn't revive her at the house but did manage to restart her heart on the way to the hospital. Although we all held out hope and prayed for intercession God called her home today,Saturday the 21st.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and prayers on there behalf. Rick

It was also just before Christmas in 2006, that Dave had a heart attack. It was touch and go for a while, but he pulled through. It is so very sad that he loses his wife at a time so joyous for so many families. I bow my head and pray for Dave and his family, especially for those grandchildren she was playing with when it happened.
