Hey! Hey! Carl :D (Lucky/Dr. Smooth Kilmer)
So you`ve been in hiding for a year or so huh! :o :D With all that talent, Ms. Jean should give you a spanking, for hiding all of that beautiful talent. :D All kidding aside Carl, it sounds as beautiful as all of your music does that I`ve heard you play. Smooth as silk. Keep up the good work my dear friend. Be blessed continually,
Sincerely,
Ron

Nice Playing

Carl,
That's really nice playing, and the Mullen sounds great....I think the drums might have been a little to loud, overall I think you did a great job.

Lucky's You Tube Post

Post by Roger Dillingham »

Hey Lucky, I am definitely not a PRO either; but after that effort I don't think you have anything at all not to feel good about! My only problem with it is that IMHO you should have been mixed hotter!
The guitar player I thought was considerably louder and I would like to have heard "more steel"! I applaud you for your effort, and I like your choice of attire as well. You should remember that as an old friend of mine once told me,"I know there are better fiddle players than me; but I guarantee that there's nobody that enjoys it more than I do!" In my book, enjoying what you are doing is what it's all about. Yeah, I wish I played better, but I don't think it's beneficial to be concerned that I don't play like most of the big name steel players. Realistically, I don't think I ever will. But hey, keep up the good work.....there's a lot of us out here that enjoy what you do and your effort made. Great job!! Roger :) :)

Lucky,

I really enjoyed it. Good job on one of my favorite songs.
Hey, mister, how do you pedal that thing anyway?

"The worst an honest man can do is make an honest mistake" - Augustus McCrae
"From the sweet grass to the packing house, birth 'til death, we travel between the eternities" - Prentiss Ritter

Too many steels, amps & other stuff, and an open mind. I have tube amp bias.

Hey guys, thanks you all so much for your kind replys. :D
It's been a long ride learning to play from the very start
again since my accident, but I think I'm getting it down.
It's not easy for a 74 year old man to learn again, but I'm
determined to get as good as I can in the time I have left.

Ron, my friend, your always so kind and always inspire me.

Charlie, Roger and Larry, thank you my friends. It's friends
like you that keep me going. We sure missed you at the show.

Jim and Dale, Thanks much guys I sure appreciate all of your
nice comments. I'll post more on here very soon. Many thanks again.
You've brightened my day. :) :) :)
