25gb DVD Question

Running Vista 32 bit, I have installed a bluray drive (OEM) It works fine with all but the 25gb discs. I have tried 2 different brands of discs. Do I need a special program for this, I got this drive to store pictures, and "stuff" I don't want to lose due to comp (or me) malfunctions. I have tried to force it but gives an insert disc popup.

What is the brand/model of the Blu Ray drive?

Also, what program are you using to burn the discs?

LG UH12NS29 - OEM, I have downloaded drivers, etc from website, still will not recognize 25gb disc.Ashampoo studio 9, has 25 listed but is greyed out.

Edited to say...Restarted, lost bluray drive, tried sys restore, didn't work.still no drive...give up for now, going to Family for dinner/lunch...thanks Mr Jack, Happy Thanksgiving to you, and all.

According to what I find, this is a Blu Ray PLAYER only and not a Blu Ray burner. It will burn DVD and CD's.

If you bought it specifically to burn Blu Ray discs return it and get a model that does.
