Here we have Helge Johannessen from Norway, playing a great version of Mansion Over the Hilltop.

Carl, thanks so much for your kind comment. Helge is one of those people who has been unrecognized for his fine talent on a world scale. Here's trying to rectify that in some small way.

Hi Bent,
What a great tone and style Helge has, and his rendition of this song is beautiful.
Trust all is well with you Bent.

Thanks Roy - Yes things are well with me, a few distractions but reasonably well I must say. Thanks for sending me the news letters from the British SG forum!

going out on a limb here, but i'd guess helge is playing one of bent's 'ben rom' steels on this. they have a cool sweet edge to the tone.

let me know if i failed the test bent.

Hey Chris, sorry, no cigar. I believe Helge plays a Zum. But it is a great honor for me to know that you can hear a little bit of BenRom in a ZumSteel

Oh! wait a minute I need to do some checking...could be an Emmons

Pedal Steel Guitarist- " Helge

Post by Bernie Gonyea »

:D :whoa:
Bent : I have not heard a bad Norwegian Steeler whom wasn't great; but Helge certainly proves to every other Musician, whom loves steel guitar; that he knows his instrument very well. A fine sounding guitar, indeed. Send any tune by Helge any time you would care to. Thanks for sharing, Bent.
