I just talked to Cletus Hopkins and found out that his sweet wife Sherri just lost her fight with cancer...both of them strong supporters of steel guitar everywhere, especially our Nashville club where Cletus for the last several years has video-taped our shows, four times per year...he's also produced some shows in Alabama where Cookie Jones and I and others were guests.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Cletus and family.

That's tough to lose a wife, i just couldn't handle that after a long marriage and relationship. My Prayers go out to him. Rudy

Mine has been gone over ten years , after 54 years of marriage.

Cletus, we were so blessed to be with you last night for the visitation. It was obvious you and Sherry are much loved and rightfully so, and it was always a happy moment when we spotted you two at the steel shows. I trust you know how much we care for you. Glenda and I both agreed we had never before seen such beautiful floral arrangements--so fitting for such a sweet lady!
