Original Instrumental

Post by Michael Barone »

Here is a New Age arrangement with space. The steel starts at 0:23, after a piano intro and short acoustic solo. I played all the instruments into Pro Tools. The last bass note is around 33Hz, in case you don’t here it. :) This is part of a 23 song project.

Thanks for listening, I hope you enjoy it.

Hi Michael! :D
I have to give credit to whom credit is due! This is beautifully done. You have the "T and T", (The Touch and Talent) Your blending of guitar, and backtrack, is right on the mark, plus the chimes are perfect. It really is the best I have heard you do thus far. Keep up the good work my friend, you certainly have gained a fan in me. Continue to be blessed my friend, I`ll certainly be listening to you as time unfolds.

Roger, thanks for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the songs.

Bishop Hall, thank you for your compliments, encouragement and most important, your friendship. Keep playing that joyous music!

Gary, I'm glad you liked it. The Vanduras are a key influence in my arrangements and steel playing. Thanks.

Marvelous, this would be a good James Bond song!

This recording proves once and for all that on the steel guitar you don't need to play a lot of chords to create a haunting sound. I love it. 8)

Hey - very nice!! James Bond indeed - I like when steel players go in the Jerry Byrd direction. All these posts about "Is steel guitar relevant anymore?" is answered by this kind of stuff. It's retro and modern both. We need more melody in music today. You proved it with this gorgeous melody. Keep it up!!
