Getting the 'right' mix.........

Post by David Hartley »

I've recently had the pleasure recording for this Norwegian band.

I can't understand a thing about what they're singing about but 'love' the mix they get on the overall sound. I just thought I would share their talent with you.

Hi.....

Did you like them?

I think they're great..

Leave them a nice comment...

To me, that's a real proper country recording sound.

Charlie Arkins from Ireland on fiddle and harmonica, me on steel, and the band.

I wish I knew what they are singing about.

I don't know what they are saying either but that is some great sounding real country music. The girl can actually sing and the harmony is good too. Nice job David.

Hi

Thanks Bill.
Thanks all. I've never gigged live with these guys, but I have played many times in Norway. Their rigs are huge, their sound is huge, and their stages are great with nice lighting. I just hope these guys do well as I so much like their approach to counrtry music and they write most iof their own songs too. And their parties are huge too. With different rules to the UK. They party all night, loud clear music, lots of food and beer, in remote barns and venues with lots of security although everybody is so friendly there's not much need for security.

Atle, where are you, we need another party with this band in Kvalsvic ( if thats spelt correctly )

That is a really good mix David. As much as I love steel guitar I enjoyed the piano style on that first song. They sound good and country which is what I like.

David, I think that they are great and so is your music, as always. I too think that the girl is sooo beautiful and so is her stage presence. I'm too old to do much traveling anymore, but if I could I would love to spend an evening watching them and being part of the audience. They all seem to be such good people.
