I've heard Ponder a whole
lot on B3 Trio recordings.
Great player . . he had a
good run.

Aw, man, hate to hear this. Maybe not a household name, but Jimmy was one of the greats. Great tone, great feel. Yeah, the organ trio stuff is superb.

RIP Jimmy. Saw him quite a bit in the 80s. A great player in the Wes/Grant Green tradition.

One night, Jimmy saw me with a tape recorder and asked me to turn it off, but later on said, "it's cool, man, go ahead." Then he played Coltrane's "After the Rain".

The Tunes Are: Uncle Steve, Ebb Tide, Secret Love, Barbara, Come On Down, A Subtle One, A Tribute To A Rose & Fats.
Out Of These Tunes, Barbara Is My Favorite.
