So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. For a time he lived about 40 miles from our home and was always willing to help a newbie steeler any time. My prayers and condolences to Bill's family.

I visited Mr. Bill several times while he was here in Texas. His health was not good. I'm glad he made it back to Nevada for while before he had to go.

When I was just starting out trying to play pedal before just focusing on lap steel, Bill contacted me and sent me some tutorials of his, no cost, just to help me out. It was completely unsolicited. Very nice man, very open with beginners. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

I'm sad to hear this...he was such a nice guy & willing to help out beginners!!!

He sent me some of his instructional stuff for free and was always willing to explain stuff.

I was hoping to get to meet him in person and learn more from him.

He was a good man!!!
