I'm looking for a good, FREE DVD burner program. I'm looking at one called Koyote. Anyone know anything about it?,,,or can recommend something,,that is VERY user friendly?

The free Imgburn is the most popular free CD/DVD burner that I see mentioned on various computer forums.

Hey Jack,,thanks,,,,I tried that program,,,couldn't figure out how to navigate it,,,PLUS,,it loaded about a dozen other things on my computer that took most of the morning to get my computer back to where it was. I have win7 and it has a DVD maker,,,,would that be suitable for a 2 hour instruction video DVD? Not sure how to rip it to my computer,,,but it looks simple enough to burn from once it is on my hard drive.

I have Imgburn installed and didn't install any extra garbage with it. Most of the downloads offer to install a toolbar, Google browser, etc. Look close before installing and uncheck all the garbage. I tried one of the Koyote programs a while back and even with trying not to it loaded garbage on my PC. I had to do a System Restore to get rid of it.

Here is another popular one, CDBurnerXP

I don't know about "ripping" the DVD to the PC. If its a commercial DVD, it has copy protection and the "DRM" (Digital Rights Management) built into Windows may block you from copying it to the PC.

You can try to copy the DVD, even if you only have one DVD burner on the PC. If you have a disc copier program you can try that. I have the Nero suite of programs that do that, but they are not free
