Downloading youtube videos easily for Apple OS system

I use an Apple computer with OS operating system and would like to download Youtube videos without having to download software. Can anyone suggest the easiest and quickest way to download those videos, please? Many thanks, stevet

I use the Firefox browser with the free Download Helper plugin.
Works great with OSX.

Thanks, Joey, I was able to download the software but my OS system 10.4.11 is too old to operate yse teh Downloader. I have no idea what the next highest version OS system has to be so I can use my Macbook Pro to to download Youtube stuff. Thanks for getting me this far Joey. stevet

Don't know why you are so far behind on the OS.

I have a 2009 Mac Book (not even a Pro) running 10.8.4

Unless you have a reason not to upgrade, such as incompatible software, it's time to take the leap.

Just copy the Youtube address.
Use your browser to go to KEEPVID.COM
Don't press any of the LARGE COLORFUL DOWNLOAD buttons, but instead, look for the place where you need to paste the address you just copied, then press the small DOWNLOAD button.
You will be presented with different resolution and format options, so choose the one that suits you.
That's all.
