Among countless other great blues recordings he had a terrific version of "Today I Started Loving You Again".

There are no words to describe his singing. He is probably my all time favorite blues singer. That voice, when coupled w/ the Joe Scott band, was truly something special. It's definitely time to break out my "Duke" reecords BBB anthology

As usual, I'm afraid to peek over here in Gone Home most of the time. Certainly one of my favorite singers, regardless of style. In a class of his own. RIP, Bobby Blue Bland.

The local jazz station WBGO, Newark, NJ played a tribute to him on Bob Porters show.

I really need to get some of his stuff I only have an old cassette of his that I played the heck out of.

there are so many great artists out there that don't get played enough.

RIP!
Regards, Craig
