Just heard on the TV news that Slim Whitman has passed away.He was another one of the greats.Anna and my prayers go out to Slim and his family.

Honorary member of the Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association,Member of The New England Steel Guitar Association.
Member of the Florida Steel Guitar Club,and member of Mid Atlantic Steel Guitar Association

I was lucky enough to see Slim in the UK a couple of times and he was probably one of the first singers that started my interest in country music and steel guitar. A totally unique voice deliverd in such a relaxed style. A true legend.
