Hey!
Bro. Dell and Kellie Grace,
Just a note of support, and encouragement to what you are doing in furthering the international awareness of this previously unknown musical genre`. Even though it has been around for some seventy (70) plus years, It is time for the musical families, and communities of the world, be made aware of it`s existance beyond the doors of the existent church environment. May God continue to smile on your efforts, and continue to amplify the overall efforts that much more.
Be Blessed!

Amen to Bishop Ronnie's statement. I have only been aware of the Sacred Steel tradition for the half dozen years or so I have been on the Forum. It has been a wonderful discovery for me and I have been blessed many times listening to these great soulful players. My hope is that everyone could enjoy and appreciate this genre.

I have to admit that, until I joined the Steel Guitar Forum many years ago, I had never heard of Sacred Steel, or that the steel guitar was being used in church services, even though I myself have been playing steel guitar since 1963.
Having myself been brought up an Anglican in England, where every church has an organ, and some of them most magnificent ancient devices, the only instruments I associated with church services were the organ and the harmonium.
It just shows that, unless someone like Del Ray puts in the time and effort to publicise it, the general public will remain completely unaware of its existence, and will be missing out on some great music.
