Man, what a week!

Havens, Brozman & Jones all in one week. Makes me think of Dion's song, Abraham, Martin & John.

Oh yeah, and I live in Boston.

Sad Day....

Sad day for sure...I still remember where I was when I heard "He Stopped Loving Her Today" the first time on the radio...my favorite singer of all time, George is the answer to all my "Favorite Singer" security questions for online accounts (ok, you can forget I said that now!)

Condolences and prayers for his family...

In 1981 I was lucky enough to play with a band that opened for him about half a dozen times, and he was at the peak of his game back then. I stayed and watched every show... he was just awesome. When he sang a ballad - "Picture Of Me Without You", for instance, I would see tears streaming down peoples faces....both men and women. It was like a religious experience. When he picked it up with an uptempo tune, he just blew the roof off the joint.

It's just like he sang..."Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes?"

Vaya con Dios, Mr. Jones...you'll be missed big time.

Wow. What a terrible way to start the day. Terrible blow to country music.

My thoughts go out to Georgette, Jamie and the rest of the family.

Jamie, take good care of Georgette. She needs you now more than ever.

I don't think a week goes by where our band plays less than 6 Possum songs per night. What a life and legend. RIP.

No question of the place he holds in all our hearts. Willy's Roadhouse with Bill Mack and Dallas Wayne had some interesting trivia on today while doing a tribute. Like Dallas Wayne said, "I ain't going to be sad because of all the joy George brought into my life."
Amen

So sorry to hear About George Jones
I too was fortunate to meet him and to visit
His home.
George was a huge influence on anyone
Connected with country music.
In His autobiography he revealed so much
About his life, including the many mistakes
He made.
In 1999, his Grammy song "Choices", was an
Autobiography in song.
George will not be forgotten, his music
Won't allow it.

Condolences to George's wife Nancy and family
