"The Toledo Jam of 2012", Bishop Ronnie P. Hall

Post by Bishop Ronnie P Hall »

Hello once again my fellow steelers! :D
Here I am with another one of those melodies that you will get some enjoyment out of.
This basic little sort of jazz line tune was the foundation melody that ignited the congregation into giving forth the praise, in a dance, while in Toledo at the Sacred Strings Annual Showcase of 2012. However, though it is not played as spontaineously as it was there. I trust that it is, and will be enjoyed as much here. So enjoy! :)

Goog morning brother Ron, checking up on you again and
hope you're feeling better by now. Your playing is as good
as usual, and I always enjoy listening to you. Your not old
till you catch up with me, but we can still enjoy our gift of
music that God has given us as long as we can still move.
Hope you feel better real soon. Keep pickin and grinning.
It always has a way of making us feel better than we are. :)

Hiya Carl! :D (Lucky, Doctor Smooth)Kilmer
How blessed it is, when friends such as yourself, look in on an old man like me. It really lifts one`s spirit. Well I dont know if i`m playing all that well, I`m just glad to be playing at all. And, as you have said, just to be moving at all is a blessing. Sorry I`m a little late in responding,I`m still going through an avalance of medical procedures, nothing serious, but it does take up a lot of a person`s time, but they have to be done at this time. I trust that all is well with you and yours. Thanks again, and the warmest of greetings. Keep a word of prayer for me, and the best to your family.

I've heard this melody before in one of your earlier recordings. No, it's not that I have a good memory it's just that I copy everything you post on YouTube onto my hard disk, and sometimes I just let them play on my system in my den, one after the other, while I work on projects. The constant rhythms give me energy, as it's impossible to keep still while listening, so I dance around to them. Sometimes I'm inspired to switch on my amplifier and join in with you. Maybe someday I'll record one of those spontaneous efforts and email it to you. It's probably the closest we shall ever get to doing a duet. ;-)

Hi Alan! :D
Man O Man, If I only had a few more supporters like you my ole friend I might actually do something as a recording artist! Alan you are a treasure my friend, and all that you say and do is greatly appreciated, believe me. Yeah, you are right there are a lot of similarities in the music I play, especially in the background tracks. Only a composer, and artist extraordinary would catch on to that. I know because I do it myself with other music compositions. BUT,we keep trying dont we old friend? And you know what, I believe thats what makes us better eh? And you know what? Who knows what might happen, we might be able someday to get together, rhythms and all. I would pay good money to see you dancing around energized to the brim!  Talk about Chuck Berry!!! With affection my ole friend...

Hi Roy! :D (Heap)
I am truly honored with your words of encouragement coming from the United Kingdom. And it is a kind thoughtful idea to even consider the possibility that I would come and share what little God given talent(?)(me?) :whoa: that I have, with our brethren in the United Kingdom. But, due to various challenges, I`m just unable to do it. But, wow, what a thought!!! By the way let me say, I received your e-mail, and I want you to know, that in whatever ways that the music, the bio, the videos, or whatever service these products can be of service to you, certainly use them with my permission gladly. I can say this because for me this is my hobby, and my therapy. I`m just having a lot of fun doing this. This would be a great service. So go ahead my dear friend use them,(whatever I have) as you have need of. And Roy, keep up the good work you are doing with the "Steelies". And again, Thanks for the thought of me coming to the United Kingdom, I feel about ten feet tall about now!!!! Be Blessed with warm affection!
