RIP David Andrew Eddon (5Jul1956-21Mar1993)

You won't have heard of him, but my dear cousin, David Eddon, died unexpectedly of a brain haemmorage, twenty years ago today, at the early age of 36.

As our mothers were very close sisters, and we were both only children, we were brought up more as brothers than cousins, and his death was very unexpected and sudden.

Whenever I played, he was there playing rhythm guitar, occasionally mandolin, banjo, autoharp, harmonica, jawsharp or dobro.

Another year gone by, and I still miss him. He was the closest thing to a brother I ever had.
