Terang Bulan (Light of the Moon)
This song comes from North Sumatra, in the Muloccan Islands, an area badly hit by Earthquake and Tsunami, Terang Bulan is I believe the National Anthem of that area.

HELLO JAMES,
I have a CD with multiple instrumentals & singers. A young girl of about 12 years of age is singing
"TERANG BULAN". It sounds as if the recording was made in the 1930s. The English tranlation of the title is "Bright Moon". I believe she is singing in an Indonesian language or dialect.

Hello Roger, thank you for your interest.
If Indonesian isn't your first language then you have to take what someone else tells you, I have seen, "Light of the Moon" "Moonlit" "Bright Moon" etc given as the translation so I just chose one, maybe our fellow player Kay Daz can put a finger on it.
That collection of 17,058 Islands called Indonesia, has a range of music that interests me greatly and in many cases is not that far removed from Hawaiian.
James.
